Tropical Pacific Drifting Buoys

APRIL 2020

During April 2020, 244 satellite-tracked surface drifting buoys were reporting from the tropical Pacific. As seen in March, strong westward anomalies were seen near the equator near the center of the basin, reaching ~1 m/s compared to the eastward current there in April climatology.
