Figure S7. Daily vertical component of EP flux (which is proportional to the poleward transport of heat or upward transport of potential energy by planetary wave) at 100 hPa averaged over (top) 30N90N and (bottom) 30S90S for MAR 2004. The EP flux unit (kg m-1 s-2) has been obtained by multiplying a factor of the Brunt Vaisala frequency divided by the Coriolis parameter and the radius of the earth.
