FIGURE T30. Pressure-longitude section (80°W–100°E) of the mean (top) and anomalous (bottom) divergence and divergent circulation (5°N–5°S). The divergent circulation is represented by vectors of combined pressure vertical velocity and divergent zonal wind. Shading and contours denote divergence. Contour interval is 1 x 10-6 s-1. Anomalies are departures from the 1981-2010 base period monthly means.
